Very moving & provocative thoughts even for the Mother Teresas of this world. Brings to mind the words of James 4:17, "Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin." The more we ask each new day for Him to guide our steps and thoughts - and are obedient to follow His leading - the easier it becomes to hear His voice & to walk in His will.

Love the "Battle Ready" photo!

Looking at that anchor chain, my first thought was, "No doubt that anchor would hold". On second thought I recognized that the anchor can't hold all that well in drifting sand, no matter how big or what the chain is made of. It's a comfort to know, when we trust in Christ, that our anchor of confidence is secure in the Solid Rock, the Rock of Ages.

Best, concise description of Sam Houston that I've ever heard. John Wayne would no doubt appreciate your observation, as well!

Loving the photography & comments as I look around again. That "mother/daughter" bond is also a sisterhood. A sacred community or society of women - even if there are only two! Especially between the two. It is a "best friend" relationship through most of lifetime. At least, I'm sure that's the way God intended for it to be.
